Fundraisers held for injured children orphaned in crash

CYPRESS, TX (KTRK) -- Three children who lost their parents in a car crash are receiving an outpouring of support from friends and complete strangers.

Friends of Robin and Joshua Berry organized a lemonade and bake sale in Cypress on Saturday to help pay for the children's medical expenses.
There was also a dog wash held Saturday in West University with proceeds benefiting the children.

The Berrys died over the Fourth of July weekend while driving home from a family vacation in Colorado.

Their nine- and eight-year-old sons and six-year-old daughter were seriously injured.

Both boys are being transferred to a hospital in Chicago that specializes in spinal injuries.

The Berry children are being cared for by their aunt and uncle.

To donate to the Joshua and Robin Berry Children's Trust, visit www.theberrychildren.org or send to the trust in care of the Bank of Texas, 510 Bering Drive, 5th floor; Houston 77057.

  1. By showing them that someone cares, you'll renew their hope and help them smile again.
