A 71-year-old Texas man reportedly involved in a disturbance in Allen Parish led law enforcement officers on a pursuit from Allen Parish to west of DeRidder.
Joe Darrold Hinton, 71, of Cypress, Texas, was arrested Monday night and charged with reckless operation, speeding, resisting an officer and aggravated flight from an officer.
According to the Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Office, Hinton was involved in a disturbance at a home in Elton and then led officers from Allen Parish Sheriff's Office, Louisiana State Police, DeRidder Police and eventually Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Office down La. Highway 26 to U.S. Highway 171 through DeRidder until he was eventually stopped on La. Highway 190 West near the Boise mill.
Hinton was booked into the Beauregard Parish Jail. No bond was set as he will be transported back to Allen Parish.
