Suspected rapist caught ...
HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The Harris County Sheriff's Office Special Victims Unit, in collaboration with the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force and the Houston Police Department, arrested a suspect Wednesday wanted in the sexual assault of a teenager in northwest Harris County.
On Saturday, February 27, Harris County Sheriff's deputies responded to an aggravated sexual assault call in the Longwood subdivision in northwest Harris County. The victim, a 15-year-old female, reported that around 4am a male forced his way into her house and sexually assaulted her at knife point. The suspect's image was captured a short time later on a surveillance camera at the WalMart, located at 22605 Tomball Parkway, using a credit card reportedly stolen from the victim's residence.
With the use of the surveillance video, Crime Stoppers tips, and a suspect sketch created with the assistance of the victim, the suspect was identified as 23-year-old Michael Alexander Chenault of Cypress, Texas. He is currently in the Harris County Jail with no bond and facing charges of burglary with intent to commit sexual assault and burglary of a habitation.
