CYPRESS, Texas - Police are trying to find a child who went down a manhole but never came back out Monday afternoon.
Stafford Police and more than 2 dozen Houston Fire Department personnel are searching in the Newport by the Lakes neighborhood in the 18900 block of Barker Cypress Road.
An officer saw the child, presumed to be 12-14 years of age, go down that manhole a little before 3 p.m. Monday, according to HFD.
It’s not known why he went down the manhole.
At around 4:26 p.m., the scene was clear.
